Two Bedroom Rental Chalet Venosc
Renovated to a very high standard in 2014, this charming two bedroom rental chalet has brand new open plan kitchen, dining and living room area with wood burning stove. One double bedroom and a triple with a bunk and a single. New large modern bathroom with bath and over bath shower, separate WC, and a large hallway with space for some bikes and skis. It has a secure shed for bike storage. Outside it is surrounded by a small garden and patio, plus there is a large rooftop terrace for outside dining with stunning panoramic views of the mountains and La Cascade waterfall. A hot tub will be installed here in February 2016.
The property sits just over the road from the municipal swimming pool and tennis courts, open from mid June until the end of August. It is also in walking distance (300 meters) from the Venosc high speed gondola that connects to the mountain ski and mountain bike resort of Les Deux Alpes.
Bars and restaurants are just a short walk away within Bourg d’Arud, or up in Venosc village.
Supermarkets are available either in Le Bourg d’Oisans (15km) or at the top of the gondola in Les Deux Alpes (open from December until late April and again mid June until the end of August)
The chalet sits in the valley, so is generally an easy ride home at the end of the day. It is just 15km from Le Bourg d’Oisans and the start of the climb to Alpe d’Huez as well as many other famous climbs such as the Col du Glandon, Col du Galibier and the Alpe d’Huez, which will all be used in the 2018 Tour du France.
The property also sits on a less well know, but very spectacular road to La Berarde in the Ecrins National Park.
The chalet is just 300 meters from the end of the famous Venosc downhill mountain bike track (and return gondola). The local gondola, specially adapted to take mountain bikes, links to Les Deux Alpes and the Les Deux Alpes MTB Park, one of the best developed mountain bike resorts in Europe. Popular events such as the Mountain of Hell mean that the resort benefits from huge developments, continued track maintenance and improvements every year.
