From single tracks to tricky obstacles you’ll find Oz and the whole area a natural playground. More than 250 km of tracks and marked trails are suitable for all levels and types of mountain biking: downhill, enduro, freeride, cross country ...

The lifts enable you to reach more than 10,000m of vertical a day from Pic Blanc at 3300m to the valley floor.

Oz is an ideal base camp for exploring by bike the six valleys of the Oisans region, the panoramic roads and the mythical passes lost in the clouds. Oisans counts many tremendous mountain roads leading to typical villages and mountain passes. Around Lake Verney in the valley, up to the Glandon and Croix de Fer mountain passes, you will find your paradise on Oz' roads.

Events:

The Mega Avalanche - The Alpe d’Huez edition of the Mega Avalanche tour is the largest and most popular event on the calendar. Open to both professionals and amateurs, the event attracts thousands of riders keen to race against the best in the world. The event takes place over three days, with a day of practice, a day of qualifying and finally the race day. Competitors start at the Pic Blanc at 3300m, beginning the race on the glacier before descending over 30km of grueling trail to Allemont at 720m.

 

French national downhill championshops and Trials 15th - 17th August 2014 - Organized by the FFC. There will be three spectacular events: downhill, cross-country and trials. An unforgettable weekend for competitors and spectators alike! Downhill riders will take the legendary Poutran trail, very technical and internationally recognized at the highest level. In less than 4 minutes, competitors will descend slopes whose gradients exceed 45%, make spectacular jumps and navigate switchbacks before arriving at the foot of the resort. Many astonishing trial zones will be created for the event in the center of the resort. Competitors will have to get past a number of obstacles without setting foot to ground and demonstrate their balancinge skills in front of your very eyes! This summer a new trail for cross-country events will be laid out, running throught the resort.

The downhill riders will race on the legendary Poutran trail, very technical and internationally recognized at the highest level. In less than 4 minutes, competitors descend slopes of more than 45%, make spectacular jumps and a series of banked turns... as quickly as possible.

Many spectacular Trials zones will be specially created in the center of the resort. Competitors will have to get over a number of obstacles without putting their feet on the ground and show balance skills in front of your eyes.

UCI Worldcup MTB series 16th August - In addition to the usual program of the French Cup MTB championship, the Junior Series events will add nearly 100 international racers and 300 to 400 people at the paddock!
